It is located at the bottom of a tall limestone cliff on the northeastern side of the island, it takes around 30 minutes to get there by boat from Tonsai Bay. It is locally called Tham Phaya Nak, the name Viking Cave has been derived from paintings found on the eastern and southern walls of the cave which seem to represent various types of boats, including what resembles a Scandinavian Drakkar (Viking ship).
